I’m wondering if it’s safe to use an electric blanket if I have 2 kitties?
They don’t bite or chew cords.
Thanks!

In the winter months I use an electric under-blanket and my cats love how warm the bed gets. Just as with any electrical item, make sure that you regularly check the wiring to make sure it’s not faulty and your cats will be just fine.

I use to keep one on for my cat before he started chewing on cords now I can’t use them. Just be careful, I spoke to a lady whose cat bit into an electrical cord and got shocked, the power surge came out his ears and burned them.

I didn’t have any problems with mine.
You can also get a wool blanket that you can put over your quilt, that generates a ton of heat and isn’t electric.

Sure, they will love it. My sister has a cat that actually turns on the heating pad when it gets cold. She left it out one time and when she came home there he was, he loves it and turns it on all the time now.
