I have a full size electric blanket that smells. I don’t think i can wash it in the washer, because of the end that gets plugged in. Can I wash it in the bath tub?

I always wash mine in the washer on gentle wash. It won*t hurt it at all. However do not put it in the dryer it will melt the rubber in the cord.
Hang it on a line to dry. Preferably outside in the air Hang it so the wires do not bend; in other words hang it so the wires run parallel to the clothes line.

You can wash it in the washer, but you NEED to do these steps, after you make sure there are no wires poking out of the blanket:
    1. Let it soak for 10-20 minutes. (However long you want or think it smells.)
    2. Let it wash for about five minutes, then turn the dial on to rinse, then spin cycle.
    3. DO NOT throw it in the dryer, you MUST let it air dry. Otherwise it can cause a fire.

Yes you can put it in the washing machine. I wash mine on gentle with cold water. Don’t put it in the dryer, hang it to dry and you have to smooth it back to shape. Gently tug it to the correct shape do not iron. This is right out of the owners manual for mine.

There should be a label on it to tell you how to care for it. I used to have one that was wash gentle cycle in an oversized washer (like at a laundromat). You can probably try that.

Dry Cleaners or at home dry cleaning system works too.

The label should tell you if its OK to wash in the machine
